VA PHS UNIVERSITY DRIVE MEDICAL CENTER

This project consisted of the site prep and installation of new
Air Handling Units (“AHU”) and all associated piping, controls
and commissioning to support the new Research Office
Building(ROB) and certain areas (e.g., 2 West corridor) in the
nearby Building 30 on the VA PHS University Drive campus.
RBVetCo and its major mechanical subcontractor, R & B
Mechanical, Inc., completed the installation and upgrades in
the ROB basement, as well as the modifications and upgrades
(demolition, HVAC and mechanical upgrades, drywall and ceiling demo and reinstallation, electrical upgrades, etc.) to the
corridor and adjacent areas in accordance with the Contract
drawings and specifications. After testing, balancing and
commissioning, the system upgrades are fully functional and
operating as designed. RBVetCo and R & B Mechanical worked
tirelessly with the Government and its consultants to maintain
schedule integrity, identify the supply chain and concurrent
project coordination issues, to cooperate and collaborate in the
completion of all upgrades and work activities.
